Universal Genève Tribute to Compax White Gold / Black

The Universal Genève Tribute to Compax JU281121B1X1 debuted in 2025 within the same six-piece series inspired by Nina Rindt’s personal Compax. This version pairs a 36 mm × 12.67 mm 18 k white-gold case with a fixed aluminum tachymeter bezel and glare-proofed sapphire crystal. Its dial is executed in black grand feu enamel with crisp white enamel subdials and a red varnished chronograph seconds hand recalling the modification seen on Rindt’s 1960s watch. Rhodium-plated hour and minute hands contrast against the glossy enamel surface, while the black counter hands complete the monochrome aesthetic. All hands are treated with Super-LumiNova. The tri-register chronograph layout remains faithful to the historical Compax arrangement. At its core lies the Universal Genève Caliber 281, a hand-wound, column-wheel movement restored from vintage stock. The caliber measures 28.5 mm in diameter, 7.10 mm thick, and beats at 18,000 vph with a power reserve of around 36 hours. This model is delivered on a black calfskin bund strap designed by Satoru Hosoi, built from interlocking leather sections sewn together to form a continuous cuff. The strap is fitted with an 18 k white-gold pin buckle and stamped with both Universal Genève and HOSOÏ-PARIS signatures.
