Cabriolet de Lempicka
Ref. UGCA003
The Universal Geneve Cabriolet de Lempicka UGCA003 debuted in 2026 as part of the Cabriolet Capsule collection of Universal Genève. The model draws inspiration from rectangular watches produced by the brand during the 1930s, reflecting the geometric design language associated with the Art Deco period. This version features an 18k rose gold rectangular case with a reversible construction, allowing the watch to be turned within its carriage. The front side displays a velvet teal lacquered dial with a clean and classical layout. The reverse side features a hand-painted miniature inspired by the work of Art Deco painter Tamara de Lempicka, created in collaboration with artist Isabelle Villa. The paintings are based on works such as Portrait of Mrs Bush, Tamara in the Green Bugatti, and Docteur Boucard, with each interpretation produced in a limited series of five pieces. Powering the watch is the Universal Geneve caliber UG-111, a manual-winding mechanical movement. The watch is offered with either a matching alligator leather strap or a nine-row bracelet, both designed to complement the rose gold case.
