GMT-Master II Yellow Gold / GRNR / Tiger Iron / Jubilee

The Rolex GMT-Master II 126718GRNR-0002 was introduced in 2023 and expands the GMT-Master II collection through the use of a natural stone dial. The watch is housed in a 40 mm Oyster case crafted from 18 ct yellow gold, constructed using Rolex’s monobloc architecture with a screw-down case back and Triplock winding crown. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres. This reference is distinguished by its tiger iron dial, marking the first use of this metamorphic rock by Rolex. Tiger iron is composed of tiger’s eye, red jasper, and silvery hematite, resulting in a layered structure with golden, brown, and reddish tones. Each dial is formed through careful selection and assembly to ensure visual coherence with the case and bracelet. Applied hour markers and hands are filled with Chromalight luminescent material for legibility in low-light conditions. The watch is fitted with a bidirectional rotatable 24-hour bezel featuring a two-colour Cerachrom insert in grey and black ceramic. The GMT-Master II display includes central hour, minute, and seconds hands, alongside an arrow-tipped 24-hour hand. The latter indicates a second time zone read against the bezel scale, while the local hour hand can be adjusted independently in one-hour increments via the winding crown, without interrupting timekeeping accuracy. Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3285, a self-winding mechanical movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz). The movement incorporates a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers, and provides an approximate 70-hour power reserve. Functions include a 24-hour display, instantaneous date, independent rapid-setting of the local hour hand, and stop-seconds for precise time adjustment. Following casing, the movement is certified as a Superlative Chronometer. The watch is delivered on a Jubilee bracelet in 18 ct yellow gold, composed of five-piece links and secured by an Oysterlock folding safety clasp with an Easylink comfort extension, allowing approximately 5 mm of on-the-fly adjustment.
