World Time Minute Repeater White Gold / Planisphere

Ref. 5531G-010

The Patek Philippe Rare Handcrafts 5531G-010 5531G-010 debuted in 2026 as a limited series of ten pieces combining a minute repeater, World Time display, and hand-executed decorative crafts. Housed in a white gold Calatrava-style case, this reference is distinguished by a dial depicting a map of the world through champlevé enamel and hand-engraving, with the oceans and continental reliefs rendered as a single decorative composition. Its white gold case measures 40.2 mm in diameter and 11.49 mm in thickness. The caseband and slide piece are hand-guilloched with a hobnail pattern, while the lugs are skeletonised. The watch is humidity- and dust-protected only and is delivered with interchangeable solid and sapphire crystal case backs. The external architecture follows the familiar 5531 format, here combined with a Rare Handcrafts treatment centred on the dial rather than on the case itself. The dial presents a planisphere-style world map, with the ocean floor first engraved by hand and then covered with translucent blue enamel using the champlevé technique. Additional transparent enamels in three colours are used to depict mid-ocean ridges and oceanic trenches, after which the engraved relief of the continental plates is further refined by hand. The hands are also specific to this reference: the hour hand is skeletonised and inspired by the Southern Cross constellation, while the minute hand takes a lozenge-shaped form. As a World Time watch, it displays the 24-hour and day/night indication for all 24 time zones. Inside is the self-winding calibre R 27 HU, combining a minute repeater with two classic gongs, local time strike, and World Time mechanism. The movement measures 32 mm in diameter and 8.5 mm in thickness, consists of 452 parts, uses 45 jewels, and operates at 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour. It is wound by an off-centre guilloched 22K gold mini-rotor and offers a power reserve ranging from 43 to 48 hours. The regulating organ comprises a Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring, and the movement bears the Patek Philippe Seal. The watch is fitted with a hand-stitched, grained light brown calfskin strap and a white gold fold-over clasp.
