Calatrava 5077 Rose Gold / White-Faced Ibis

Ref. 5077/213R-001

The Patek Philippe Calatrava 5077/213R-001 5077/213R-001 debuted in 2026 as a limited series of ten pieces, combining gem-setting with a dial in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel enriched by miniature painting on enamel. Executed in rose gold, the reference is centred on the white-faced ibis, rendered as a bird portrait with an emphasis on the tonal variation of its plumage. Its rose gold case measures 38 mm in diameter and 8.3 mm in thickness. The watch is humidity- and dust-protected only and fitted with a sapphire crystal case back. The bezel and lugs are set with 59 sapphires weighing 0.56 carats, 38 amethysts weighing 0.24 carats, and 15 rhodolites weighing 0.15 carats. The buckle is set with 18 sapphires weighing 0.10 carats, 7 amethysts weighing 0.05 carats, and 4 rhodolites weighing 0.11 carats. In total, the watch carries 77 sapphires weighing 0.66 carats, 45 amethysts weighing 0.29 carats, and 19 rhodolites weighing 0.26 carats. The dial depicts a white-faced ibis, with the outlines of the plumage in Grand Feu cloisonné enamel formed using approximately 57 cm of gold wire weighing about 0.23 grams. To reproduce the varied tones of the feathers, the enameller worked with a palette of 57 enamel colours, combining semi-opaque, transparent, and opaque compositions. The image was then refined with 6 colours of miniature painting on enamel to reinforce the gradations and light-dark transitions across the bird. Each dial underwent around 9 firings at temperatures ranging from 780°C to 840°C. Time is indicated by rose gold dauphine hands. Inside is calibre 240, Patek Philippe’s ultra-thin self-winding movement. It measures 27.5 mm in diameter and 2.53 mm in thickness, consists of 152 parts, uses 27 jewels, and operates at 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour. The movement is wound by an off-centre 22K gold mini-rotor and provides a minimum power reserve of 48 hours. Its regulating organ comprises a Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring, and it bears the Patek Philippe Seal. The watch is fitted with a hand-stitched shiny royal purple alligator leather strap with square scales, secured by a gem-set rose gold prong buckle.
