Calatrava 5077 Rose Gold / Pink Typography

Ref. 5077/100R-068

The Patek Philippe Calatrava 5077/100R-068 5077/100R-068 debuted in 2026 as a limited series of ten pieces, distinguished by a dial in champlevé enamel and hand-engraving centred on stylised “Patek Philippe Genève” lettering. Executed in rose gold, the reference draws its dial motif from the engraved back of a historic triple-complication hunter pocket watch presented by the manufacture at the 1867 Paris Exposition. Its rose gold case measures 38 mm in diameter and 8.3 mm in thickness. Unlike many Rare Handcrafts references, this model is water-resistant to 30 metres and fitted with a sapphire crystal case back. The bezel and lugs are set with 112 brilliant-cut diamonds weighing approximately 0.87 carats, while the rose gold prong buckle is set with a further 29 diamonds weighing approximately 0.24 carats, for a total of 141 diamonds weighing 1.11 carats. The dial decoration begins with the words “Patek Philippe Genève” carved into the dial plate in relief, using lettering inspired by the historic pocket watch that served as the model for this reference. These cavities are then filled with enamels in two colours, one transparent and one opaque, applied in successive layers using the champlevé technique. After firing, the engraved lettering is further worked by hand to structure the surfaces and reinforce the sense of depth and volume. Each dial requires around 10 firings at temperatures between 665°C and 670°C. Time is indicated by rose gold dauphine hands. Inside is calibre 240, Patek Philippe’s ultra-thin self-winding movement. It measures 27.5 mm in diameter and 2.53 mm in thickness, consists of 152 parts, uses 27 jewels, and operates at 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour. The movement is wound by an off-centre 22K gold mini-rotor and provides a minimum power reserve of 48 hours. Its regulating organ comprises a Gyromax balance and Spiromax balance spring, and it bears the Patek Philippe Seal. The watch is fitted with a hand-stitched peony pink calfskin strap with salmon-coloured stitching, secured by a gem-set rose gold prong buckle.
