Speedmaster Broad Arrow

Ref. CK2915-1

The CK2915 is the original Speedmaster as it was introduced to the market in 1957. Aimed at (aspiring) race car drivers, it was the first watch ever to be fitted with a tachymeter scale on its bezel - earlier watches, including those made by Omega, had the tachymeter scale printed on their dials. It would take a few more years for the Speedmaster to reach its 'final' design: the present CK2915-1 (and the CK2915-2 for that matter) still featured a straight lug case without crown protection, an engraved stainless steel bezel and so-called 'Broad Arrow' hands. The Speedmaster would grow out to become one of the biggest and most enduring icons of the watch world in the following decades.
