The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 310.23.42.50.99.001 is part of the current Moonwatch Professional collection and presents the model in a precious-metal configuration while retaining the established Moonwatch case architecture and dial layout. This reference combines a stainless steel case with Sedna Gold components, continuing Omega’s use of mixed materials within the Moonwatch line. The asymmetrical 42 mm case is executed in stainless steel and fitted with a Sedna Gold bezel ring featuring a black ceramic tachymeter insert. The tachymeter scale includes the traditional dot over 90. The case measures 47.50 mm from lug to lug and has a thickness of approximately 13.18 mm. Sapphire crystal is used for both the front and the exhibition caseback. Water resistance is rated to 5 bar. The stepped black dial follows the design language associated with fourth-generation Speedmaster models. It is fitted with applied Sedna Gold hour markers and an applied Omega logo, paired with Moonwatch-style hands. The chronograph display consists of a small seconds sub-dial, a 30-minute recorder, and a 12-hour recorder arranged in the standard Moonwatch configuration. The watch is powered by the manually wound Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. Certified by METAS, the movement operates at a frequency of 3 Hz and offers a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. It features a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring and is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The rhodium-plated movement is visible through the sapphire caseback. This reference is delivered on a black alligator leather strap, secured by a foldover clasp in stainless steel.
