The Omega Speedmaster Moonwatch Professional 310.23.42.50.02.001 debuted in 2024 as part of the current Moonwatch Professional line, presented in a combination of stainless steel and Sedna Gold. The model retains the defining architecture of the modern Moonwatch while introducing precious-metal detailing aligned with Omega’s proprietary gold alloy. The asymmetrical 42 mm case is executed in stainless steel and fitted with a Sedna Gold bezel ring featuring a tachymeter scale rendered in black ceramic. The bezel includes the traditional dot over 90 detail. The case measures 47.50 mm from lug to lug and has a thickness of approximately 13.18 mm. Water resistance is rated to 5 bar. Sapphire crystal is used for both the front crystal and the exhibition caseback. The dial follows the stepped construction inspired by fourth-generation Speedmaster references. It is finished in a black tone and fitted with applied Sedna Gold hour markers and an applied Omega logo. Moonwatch-style hands are used throughout, with Sedna Gold accents consistent with the bezel. The chronograph layout comprises a small seconds sub-dial, a 30-minute recorder, and a 12-hour recorder, arranged in the established Moonwatch configuration. The watch is powered by the manually wound Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 3861. The movement is certified by METAS and operates at a frequency of 3 Hz, offering a power reserve of approximately 50 hours. It features a free-sprung balance with a silicon balance spring and is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The rhodium-plated movement finishing is visible through the sapphire caseback.
