Speedmaster Moonwatch Grey Side of the Moon / Rubber
Ref. 310.92.44.50.06.002
The Omega Speedmaster Dark Side of the Moon Grey Side of the Moon 310.92.44.50.06.002 debuted in 2025. The watch features a 44.25 mm case in polished and brushed grey ceramic with plasma treatment, measuring 12.97 mm in thickness and 50.0 mm lug-to-lug. The bezel, also in grey ceramic, is brushed and bears a laser-engraved tachymeter scale filled with white Super-LumiNova. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters. The skeletonized grey anodised aluminium dial displays small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock, and a 12-hour recorder at 6 o’clock. Moonwatch-style hands and applied indexes are greyed and filled with white Super-LumiNova, providing a green emission. Both sides of the watch are fitted with sapphire crystal. Powering the watch is the hand-wound calibre 3869, a Co-Axial Master Chronometer chronograph certified by METAS and resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The main plate and bridges are laser-ablated to represent the lunar surface, with the near side visible through the dial and the far side through the caseback. The caseback further carries the inscription “THE MOON IS ESSENTIALLY GREY,” a quote from Apollo 8 astronaut Jim Lovell. The calibre operates at 3 Hz and offers a power reserve of 50 hours. The 310.92.44.50.06.002 is fitted with a grey coated nylon fabric strap with black rubber lining, secured by a ceramic foldover clasp with a ceramised titanium frame-spring construction.
