Constellation Observatory Platinum / Salmon
Ref. 140.93.39.21.99.001
The Omega Constellation Observatory 140.93.39.21.99.001 debuted in 2026 as part of the Constellation collection and introduces a design that references early Constellation models while incorporating contemporary movement technology. The watch features a round case in 950 platinum-gold measuring 39.4 mm in diameter, with faceted “dog-leg” lugs and a bezel with sharply defined facets. The case is fitted with a domed, bevelled sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides and offers water resistance to 3 bar. The caseback is fitted with a sapphire crystal, allowing the movement to be viewed. The dial is finished with a PVD coating in a yellowish platinum hue and features a sun-brushed centre with brushed faceted outer sections inspired by the “pie-pan” dial construction used on the original Constellation introduced in 1952. Eight matte hand-guilloché grooves divide the faceted outer ring. The dial features an applied Omega logo and Constellation star, while diamond-polished kite-form hour markers and matching kite-form hands in 18K white gold, PVD coated with 950 platinum-gold, indicate the time. Power is provided by the Omega calibre 8915, a self-winding mechanical movement equipped with a Co-Axial escapement. The movement beats at 3.5 Hz and offers a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. It is certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS and is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss. The movement drives the central hours and minutes and includes a time-zone function. The 140.93.39.21.99.001 is fitted with a dark grey leather strap featuring golden scale lines and secured by a polished buckle. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback, featuring a skeletonised rotor in 18K Sedna Gold with an applied 18K white gold medallion depicting the Constellation Observatory emblem, rendered with dark blue aventurine glass for the sky and white opal-coloured detailing for the observatory dome. The watch is presented in a marquetry presentation box featuring the Constellation Observatory emblem.
