DC 56

Ref. DC56

The DC 56 with vertical Bi-Compax arrangement of the totalizers (the small auxiliary dials for the stop times on a chronograph) serves to explicitly preserve the natural configuration of a classic Valjoux 7750 calibre as a piece of watchmaking history and make it recognizable as such. The watch connoisseur is not looking for exclusivity in the calibre here but instead values the actual performance of this design, which was developed by watch engineer Edmond Capt in 1973 amid the “quartz crisis” and probably constitutes the most successful modern mechanical chronograph calibre that has ever been built. The DAMASKO DC 56-67 collection remains purist and foregoes an overly delicate modernist dial. This watch is designed as a classic and never descends to a level of dysfunctional gadgetry.
