A. Lange & Söhne caliber L207.1
Ref. L207.1
The A. Lange & Söhne calibre L207.1 was introduced in 2026 for the Saxonia Annual Calendar. It is a self-winding manufacture movement combining central hours and minutes, subsidiary seconds, an annual calendar and moon-phase indication. The movement measures 30.4 mm in diameter and 5.7 mm in height and consists of 491 parts. Automatic winding is handled by a unidirectional central rotor with a centrifugal mass in 950 platinum. Fully wound, the movement provides a power reserve of approximately 60 hours. The regulating system uses a shock-resistant screw balance with an in-house balance spring and operates at 21,600 semi-oscillations per hour. Fine adjustment is carried out by means of a lateral setscrew and whiplash spring. The movement also incorporates stop seconds. Its annual calendar displays the outsize date, day of the week and month, and is programmed to distinguish automatically between months of 30 and 31 days. Manual correction is therefore required only once per year at the end of February. A rapid-correction pusher advances all calendar indications together, while separate correctors are provided for the date, day, month and moon phase. The moon-phase mechanism is calculated to require a correction of one day after 122.6 years. In keeping with A. Lange & Söhne’s construction and finishing methods, the L207.1 is assembled twice and includes a hand-engraved balance cock, screwed gold chatons and traditional surface finishing visible through the sapphire crystal case back.
