The Breitling Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 Tribute to Aston Martin DB5 RB0178131B1X1 was introduced in 2026 as the 18-karat red gold version of Breitling’s DB5 tribute series created with Aston Martin. Limited to 250 individually numbered pieces, this reference pairs the Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 case with a natural onyx dial, marking Breitling’s first use of onyx as a dial material. This reference has a 41 mm case in 18-karat 5N red gold, measuring 13.80 mm thick with a height of 47.90 mm. The case has a fixed bezel, cushion-shaped profile, grooved corners, and mushroom pushers, retaining the design language of Breitling’s 1960s Top Time chronographs. It is fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal glare-proofed on both sides, a screwed sapphire crystal case back, and a non-screw-locked crown with two gaskets. Water resistance is rated to 10 bar, or 100 meters. The dial is cut from black onyx and is paired with black onyx chronograph subdials with gold-colored rings. The use of natural stone gives each dial its own material character while maintaining the two-register Top Time layout. A wooden rehaut ring refers to the steering wheel and interior trim of the Aston Martin DB5, while the “squircle” subdials recall classic car dashboard gauges. Time is indicated by central hour and minute hands, with central chronograph seconds, running seconds, and a 30-minute chronograph counter. The hands and external minute track are treated with Super-LumiNova. Inside is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber 01, a COSC-certified self-winding chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch. It measures 30 mm in diameter and 7.2 mm thick, uses 284 components, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The movement is visible through the sapphire crystal case back and is fitted with an 18-karat red gold rotor engraved for Aston Martin. The watch is fitted with a brown calfskin leather strap with beige lining and a folding clasp.
