The Breitling Top Time B01 Eddy Merckx AB01762C1I1X1 was introduced in 2026 as a limited edition dedicated to Belgian cyclist Eddy Merckx. The edition is limited to 525 pieces, referencing Merckx’s 525 career victories. This stainless steel chronograph has a 41 mm case, a thickness of 13.30 mm, and a lug-to-lug length of 50.4 mm. It is fitted with a cambered sapphire crystal glareproofed on both sides, a screwed case back with sapphire crystal, a non-screw-locked crown with two gaskets, and a fixed bezel. Water resistance is rated to 100 meters. The yellow dial has silver chronograph counters in the Top Time collection’s rounded-square shape. Merckx’s signature is placed at 6 o’clock, while the open case back is engraved with “One of 525” and “Eddy Merckx Tribute.” Time is indicated by central hour and minute hands with Super-LumiNova, along with a running seconds display. The chronograph has a central seconds hand and a 30-minute counter. Inside is the Breitling Manufacture Caliber B01, a self-winding chronograph movement with a column wheel and vertical clutch. It consists of 284 components, runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and provides a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. The movement is COSC-certified. This version is supplied on a black racing-themed calfskin leather strap with a folding clasp. The strap measures 20 mm at the lugs and 18 mm at the clasp.
